Dubai is the one of the most developed and sophisticated cities of the world. With year-round sunshine, intriguing deserts, beautiful beaches, luxurious hotels and shopping malls, fascinating heritage attractions and a thriving business community, Dubai receives millions of leisure and business visitors each year from around the world. Here are 5 interesting facts about Dubai.

1.  0% Crime: The crime rate in Dubai is so low. Virtually it is 0% across Dubai. That is why this city is considered one of the safest cities on earth.

2. 0% Income Tax: One has so many opportunities to become rich and wealthy in Dubai. The residents of Dubai are not supposed to pay their personal income tax. So the income tax is totally 0%.

3. Tallest and biggest structure: Some of the world’s tallest and biggest structures are situated here. Biggest mall, tallest hotel, second largest man-made marina, and the world’s largest aquarium are located in Dubai.

 4.  Skyscrapers: Some of the world’s tallest skyscrapers are here. The Burj Khalifa of Dubai is considered as world’s tallest man-made structure. The height of it is 2,717 feet.  Burj Khalifa is also edifices the highest mosque, the highest restaurant, highest outdoor observation and highest nightclub.

 5.  Ski Dubai: Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort. The area of it is 22,500 square meters. On the other hand, there is a snow park and it is considered as the biggest indoor snow park with an area of 3,000 square meters.

 Mumbai, earlier known as Bombay is the commercial capital of India. Mumbai is referred as the city that never sleeps. One of the renowned authors Salma! n Rushdie once quoted- “You can take the boy from Bombay; You can’t take Bombay out of the boy.” Let’s explore some interesting facts about this millennium city:

1.  World’s most expensive house is in Mumbai: Antilia, Mukesh Ambani’s 27-story skyscraper is cited as the world’s most expensive house, valued at almost $1 billion. The business tycoon moved into the 400,000 square feet mansion in 2012 with his wife and three children.

2.  Mumbai was once an archipelago of 7 islands: Although now connected, the islands that formed ‘Bombay’ are Isle of Bombay, Colaba, Old Woman's Island (Little Colaba), Mahim, Mazagaon, Parel and Worli. It took over 5 centuries to unite them together to form an emotion called ‘Bombay’. These were famous fishing centres and some of these communities are still active.

3.  Mumbai sea link: Officially known as Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link has a length of around 5.6 km, it is an architectural-wonder as it was made with 90,000 tons of cement and steel wire comparable to the girth of the earth.

 4. World’s largest park located within city limits: Covering an area of 104 km2 (40 sq mi), the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali is the largest park in the world located within city limits. This dense forested park is home to a resident tiger population, over 2000 year-old Buddhist caves, two large lakes and more! Its lush green cover counters much of the air pollution in Mumbai, leading to it being referred to as the lungs of the city.

 5. Sixth highest number of billionaires: Mumbai is home to 32 billionaires, with a net worth of $115.1B. That places the city in sixth position on the world’s list of cities with the highest number of billionaires.
