DUBAI – A CITY OF WONDERS                                                                                                     An oasis in the desert, where bigger is always considered better, Dubai is quickly becoming the world's playground. Tourists sunbathe on the planet's largest man-made islands, swim with dolphins and cheer on their favourites at the international sporting events Dubai hosts.

Dubai has an open port with low import duties, so shopping is one of the city's biggest attractions. Tourists can choose between modern Western-style shopping malls and traditional open-market souks.

Dubai recorded the highest international overnight visitor spend in 2017 with tourists shelling out $29.7 billion (Dh109bn), a ranking of global cities by Mastercard found.

The emirate attracted the most consumption by tourists for the third year in a row, with a $537 daily spend, according to Mastercard’s Global Destination Cities Index 2018, which assessed 162 cities. Dubai was also ranked the fourth most-visited city in the world for the fourth year.

Burj Khalifa- The tallest building in the world

Located in thriving downtown Dubai, the needle-shaped super scraper takes center stage in the famed skyline with millions of visitors and VIPs flocking each year to arguably the most prestigious address in the world. The Burj Khalifa is twice the height of New York's Empire State Building and three times as tall as the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Desert Safari

One of the most popular day trips among visitors to Dubai is the desert safari. People from all over the world come in order to see its dunes and get a glimpse of what Bedouin life was like before the city became a tourism hub. Desert safaris are nothing less than exciting, intriguing and an altogether fantastic way to indulge in the local culture – as well as getting the rare opportunity to see the desert first-hand.
